Radiohead Animation Winners

This is some really good animation all done for a contest held by Radiohead. Those guys are so creative, open to new ideas and ultimately cool as hell. I can't wait to see them again in Golden Gate next weekend.

Hungry Pig Dinner..

Okay, so here is a WTF. Have you ever seen these crazy super sexist Hungry Man frozen dinner ads. Sure it's funny and I get that, but its a bit low brow. I mean how is liking smoothies, not eating like a horse and actually trying to be healthy a female only habit. I could see something like these ads in pre-womens lib/pc world but I have to say I find it annoying. Not only that, its mildly homophobic and a bit liberal hating as well. Same attitude and logic that says that lattes and good taste are for only bleeding heart cause-eds form the sin den coasts.

Radiohead Loves LIDAR

I've always thought this stuff was cool, we should do something with this technology.

Radiohead’s latest music video for their In Rainbows track “House of Cards” was created sans camera or lights. The whole thing was captured in scanning systems Geometric Informatics and Velodyne LIDAR. Geometric Informatics produces structured light to capture 3D images at close proximity, while Velodyne Lidar uses multiple lasers to capture large environments like landscapes. 64 lasers rotating and shooting in a 360 degree radius 900 times per minute produced all the exterior scenes in the video.

Whatch and blow your mind...

Green Porno

Thank you BB Bundy.

Indy, cover ya heart.. err I mean face.

Come on people, it's an illustration. For Pete's sake, can you maybe make him look like he shouldn't be in nursing home?

Robyn... cool video

I <3 Stop Motion and Robyn... but gruuul get your grill fixed, you're a star now.

CSI does it again... how did my ipod get in there?

I really have to hand it to whoever puts CSI's music bed together. I've heard so many great tunes from groups like the Presets, Cut Copy, Unkle, etc in the show. I'm pretty sure the music must be tied into the production company or to CBS. That said they've done a great job pimping good grooves in random ways in what would otherwise be an exercise in milk toast TV. Well done Bruckheimer and Co.

Guitar Hero Jumps Shark

I'm sorry but two, nay, almost three full retail games release in the span of a year spells one thing... death of a brand. I can't figure out for the life of me why they aren't doing stuff like this with downloadable content(DLC) instead of a $50 retail package... seems a bit near sited. RockBand just cleared 6million in song downloads at 2 bucks a pop, and they aren't going to be doing anything but DLC for the next year. Granted I am holding out hope for a horn and maybe a keytar for the game, at least they are dealing with distribution in a forward thinking approach. Game retailers are starting to freak out, I mean seriously why go to a store when you can get your game of the network. It solves so many issues for software manufactures, piracy and overhead would certainly be lower and that equals cheaper for the end users.
